Event Summary

Additional Details
Sat., May 31 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dive into the world of cyanotype, a historical photographic process that uses sunlight to create striking, nature-inspired blueprints. In this hands-on class, participants will learn about the origins and techniques of cyanotype while creating their own unique prints using organic materials such as flowers and leaves. Experiment with layering textures, arranging compositions, and capturing the magic of light and shadow to craft artwork you can take home.
Participants are welcome to bring small, flat materials they’d like to include in their prints, such as pressed flowers, leaves, or lace. All other materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Christine Holtz is a Pittsburgh-based artist specializing in cyanotype and other photographic methods.
