Cyanotype, a photographic printing technique, has been used by artists, botanists, and architects for nearly 200 years. In this introductory workshop, you’ll learn how to create unique and captivating cyanotype prints from scratch using sunlight. Gather botanic materials on the Phipps campus or bring your own! You will leave the class with 2-4 prints and a framed piece ready to be hung! You will take all supplies home to continue your print exploration. The instructor, Lauren, has been utilizing art and nature for improving well-being since her childhood, and started cyanotyping outdoors at the start of the pandemic to reduce stress and isolation.

As this activity is weather-reliant, class may be cancelled due to rain. If this is the case, you will be notified 24 hours prior. The class rain date is June 29.
