She was the beauty editor for Herb Quarterly Magazine for more than twenty years and the education chair for The Herb Society of America. She is a member of The Slow Flowers Society, United States Lavender Grower Association, National Garden Bureau, and The Herb Society of America. Janice lives and gardens in southern Oregon.
