Flowers are beautiful, often fragrant and always appreciated. But did you know that they can also speak volumes and convey very complex emotions. The Victorians used flowers to say many things that they may not have been able to say out loud. Come explore the Language of Flowers and learn how you too can express your emotions without saying a word.

Objective: Learn how flowers can be used to express emotions or ideas.
Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: none
Note for Floral Design students: This class counts as elective credit, but it is not a hands-on arrangement class. It's a lecture-based class.
This class is an elective in the Ecological Gardening, Landscape Design, and Floral Design certificate programs. Approved for 1.0 CEUs for landscape architects by LACES.
Instructor: Andrea Jackson is a nurse, a Master Gardener and a folk herbalist. She has been studying, working with and loving herbs for more than half of her life.
